Aston Martin V12 Vantage is a manly drive

30 November 2009

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage provides a manly, physical drive, according to What Car?.

Fans of used Aston Martins may be tempted to head to a second-hand dealer to pick up a V12 Vantage on the back of one review.

What Car? provided a critique of the new vehicle, which received four out of five stars for its performance.

Described as a motor "you need to grab by the scruff of the neck", the auto does not perform as well on wet roads or in traffic.

However, the noise and style are something to be admired, as is the 510 bhp and 420 lb/ft torque, which outstrips the V8 model, according to the reviewer.

The throttle pedal was seen to be a "wonderfully delicate tool", while the heavy clutch, weighty steering and firm accelerator pedal ensure that "as with any Vantage, the driving experience is a physical, manly sort of affair".

According to the manufacturer, the V12 Vantage is the marque's most exhilarating sports car and is said to provide a unique character that will appeal to a range of driver tastes.
