Chevrolet UK plans to make this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed even more glamorous, as the marque confirmed it would bring its two seductive and iconic new models - the Corvette ZR-1 and the Chevrolet Camaro.
Both cars will be wowing the audiences throughout the weekend, joining the Moving Motorshow on 1 July and in the run up at Goodwood's renowned hillclimb circuit on 2-4 July.
But the presence of ZR-1 will be more than just a visual treat, as it marks the official return of the long-established Corvette name into the UK market.
"These iconic cars, such as Corvette and Camaro, are clear indicators of how strong Chevrolet's brand heritage is", said Mark Terry, managing director of Chevrolet UK. "The fact that they are here, in Europe, being sold as Chevrolets is the clearest indication yet of the confidence that General Motors has in the Chevrolet brand, and the direction it is headed in Europe".
Aside from the two newest latest performance models that are due to join the product portfolio of Chevrolet Europe, both the Silverline Chevrolet Cruze racing cars from the British Touring Car Championship will also grace the event. One of the Cruzes will be driven up the hill by Alex MacDowall and Jason Plato on different days.
"A couple of years ago, Chevrolet was a brand you wouldn't have seen at Goodwood", added Terry. "But we've come so far in so little time that we're now a brand that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the most prestigious names in performance motoring".
