Hyundai Motors UK has signed an agreement to provide 600 Hyundai i30s to Bill Plant Ltd, one of the leading driving schools and training centres for instructors, in the country. Having started its relation with Hyundai Motors in 2009 by ordering 400 i20s, Bill Plant have grown into the multi-awarded i30 hatchback. Recently named by Auto Express magazine as UK's best car to own, students and instructors will not be disappointed.
The deal will see 600 i30 hatchbacks worth over £7 million delivered in the next 12 months, which will make up almost all of the fleet at Bill Plant.
"You've got to have the right car for the instructors and pupils", said Bill Plant general manager, Jake Plant.
"Hyundais are right for us, they are reliable and stylish and an appropriate size for instructors and pupils. It is very important to us that instructors and pupils like the car, and they love the i30", he added.
Novice drivers can have peace of mind with a number of safety specifications fitted to the car such as belt pretensioners, seatbelt reminder system, Electronic stability control (ESP), driver, passenger and full-length curtain airbags and active head restraints to lessen the risk of whiplash injury. Hyundai's stop-start ISG system is also an important feature to the diesel i30 as it lessens fuel consumption.
Guy Pigounakis, sales director of Hyundai Motors UK, said: "After doing business with them last year for more than 500 i20s we're delighted that Bill Plant Driving School is renewing its fleet with the i30".
Hyundai Motors is due to deliver the first batch of the all-diesel fleet this June.
