Jay Kays Ferrari Enzo attacked
4 March 2009A rare Ferrari Enzo belonging to Jamiroquai front man Jay Kay has witnessed £30,000 worth of damage after it was set on by a chef.
The musician had parked the Ferrari outside a hotel where he was staying when it was damaged by Aaron Billington in a "moment of madness".
Lowestoft Magistrates' Court heard that the 21-year-old had been "sparked into a fit of anger" by Mr Kay as he stayed at the Brudenell Hotel in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.
The driver side window of the used car was shattered and the windscreen targeted in the attack.
Kay said of the incident: "I just came out in the morning and discovered it. There you go you have got it first hand from the boss.
"It is a special motor car. It is a rare, special thing and I love it dearly. It is worth a million and the damage will cost a few quid to put right."
Kay is known for his love of sports cars and has in the past set the fastest lap on the motoring television show Top Gear, where he received the fastest lap of the year award for 2008.
