13 May 2009
The RX 450h from Lexus features a number of devices designed to take the stress out of parking, the manufacturer has revealed.
Motorists who struggle when it comes to parking in tight spots may be impressed by technology that features in the latest Lexus model. The RX 450h comes with a couple of assist monitors that display the areas alongside and behind the car when drivers are negotiating there way into a space.
Images highlighting exactly how much room is available are projected onto the rear view mirror in some versions of the vehicle - and onto the central satnav console in others.
According to the manufacturer, the devices could help people avoid the frustration and expense of dented bumpers and scraped alloy wheels.
The car is due to arrive in dealerships across the UK in July and customers can place orders straight away.
Prices for the luxury fully hybrid SUV start at £41,600.
If this seems a bit steep, it may be possible to secure a great deal on an equally impressive used Lexus by searching online.
