Toyotas managers and engineers are faced with another problem-the latest complaints regarding the power steering of Corolla.

Although no official decision has yet been made regarding the actions that should be taken regarding the issue, it is difficult to tell where these problems will end for the company.

Toyota has been under a turbulent time. Problems that started from a defective accelerator have extended to the brakes of the Prius. Now, Corolla - the companys largest selling car - seems to be having problems.

To date, there have been 8.5 million cars withdrawn worldwide. The concerns began with complaints on accelerator pedals that got stuck beneath floor mats across its variety of cars in the US. But in the UK, such complaints were not heard. However, later problems with the sticking accelerator were discovered in vehicles worldwide.

The situation was further aggravated when Toyotas hybrid Prius, its flagship model, began to have problems with its braking system. The recall of the Prius model began in Japan, and it rapidly extended across Europe, affecting a total of about a million vehicles.

These issues on cars in Japan and Europe are believed to have been resolved. The Prius has been modified with a new braking system intended to reduce power when both its accelerator and brake are applied simultaneously; thus, also protecting themselves in case the problems on its accelerator occurred again.

In America investigations are ongoing to find out if the company has delivered prompt actions on these issues, Toyota must provide the necessary documents to indicate the time when they initially spotted the problem and when they began their recall. According to US Federal law, the interval between these events must no more than 5 days.
