The style of a car is one of the first things that grabs our attention and influences our decision to make a purchase. With the Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon you will not have to sacrifice looks for functionality. The Sportwagon combines aesthetics with a well performing engine and storage space. You will not have to sacrifice one for the other with this model.

Alfa Romeos are not typically known for their functionality, but the 159 Sportwagon Range will change all that. Having 445 cubic liters of storage space with the rear seats in their upright position, it has proven that it can be used for more than looking good in your driveway. The amount of storage space is greatly improved compared to earlier models.

The Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon comes equipped with an auxiliary power supply in the rear of the vehicle, a pull cover to protect your belongings and you don't lose any valuable storage space from the rear suspension intruding into the rear of the vehicle. The rear seats offer the ability to fold down the middle section to accommodate longer pieces that are always troublesome for car owners, even though the rear seats will not lie completely flat when folded down; there is still ample storage space for carrying larger items. With storage nets placed conveniently in the side of the rear of the vehicle you will never lose those smaller items that have a tendency to roll under seats.

With the unveiling of the Q4 four wheel drive option on the newer 159 Sportwagon, the availability of all wheel drive will offer any owner peace of mind when the weather turns stormy. As with the other Alfa Romeo cars in the 159 series, the Sportwagon is also fueled by a diesel powered engine. The 170bhp 2.0 JTDm engine offers impressive pulling power. There is also a petrol variation of the engine that offers 200bhp and an impressive 320Nm of torque. With the power of the diesel engine it can go from 0-60 in just 7.7 seconds and topping out at 147 mph makes this a very impressive engine with the power that many expect in a sportier type of car.

While the interior of the Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon may be a bit disappointing and unimaginative to some, it does appear to have a better build quality than its predecessors. There have been improvements made to the amount of legroom and headroom for the passengers. The standard safety features include twin front, side and knee airbags to protect against injuries should a collision occur. The ABS, traction and stability control are also important options that are come as standard equipment in the Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon.

For one to truly appreciate all that the Alfa Romeo 159 has to offer, they must see it in person and test the power for themselves. This car will not leave anyone unimpressed, it has the power and space to qualify it as a sportwagon, and the beauty that Alfa Romeo has come to be known for.
