The Aston Martin DBS Volante convertible fuses the open top and the luxury sport driving experience together. The Volante was designed with an open top in mind. The soft top canvass roof can be retracted in less than 14 seconds. The soft top makes the car lighter than hard top convertibles. The soft top roof when covered eliminates outside noise from the cabin.

The Aston Martin Volante comes with a 6.0 litre V12 engine that is a delight to listen to and makes 0 – 60 in under 5 seconds reaching a top speed of 510 horse power. The Volante comes with two gear box variants, the six speed manual drive preferred by many and the Touchtronic automatic gear box. The combination of the V 12 and the six speed gears make the Volante a fierce road monster and if cars could fly The Volante is reaching for the stars. The drive system in the Aston Martin DBS Volante is the same as that in the DBS coupe with a standard and sports mode. In the standard mode the gear shift is relaxed and suitable for urban cruising, in sports mode the gear shift is quick in response and allows downshifts that produce a sharp response from the 5.9 litre V12 engine putting out a horse power of 510 horsepower. When compared with the DB9’s transmission the final drive is shortened from 3.15:1 to 3.46:1, enabling the automatic DBS to accelerate to 60 mph in a claimed 4.3 seconds, the same as the manual version on its way to the same top speed of 191 mph.

The Volante like the hard top coupe comes with two heated front seats and impractical rear seats. The interior compliments the beauty of the exterior with leather, carbon fibre and chrome parts and finishing the interior is breath taking. The Volante comes with a ten speaker sound system, a pop up navigational system, automatic climate control and many more high details fittings not forgetting the umbrella mounted in the boot.

The Aton Martin DBS Volante comes with an Adaptive Damping System ADS that adjusts the cars suspension according to the road, weather and drivers desires. The ADS gives the driver a higher degree of control, not only is the suspension improved the acceleration and breaking improving the overall handling of the DBS Volante. The DBS Volante also comes with traction control in the breaking system that compliment the carbon ceramic breaks discs in place improving the efficiency.

The DBS Volante is a master piece, with every component delicately and wonderfully made. To own the DBS Volante cost a whooping £175891, that’s a lot of money for a car, but it is worth every penny and is a best buy.

With a light aluminum bonded frame the DBS Volante reaches its peak torque at 5.750 rpm. It successfully merges maneuverability with exceptionally stunning interior and exterior designs performance and class. It perfectly blends urban cruising and sporting delight.
