Some good reasons to put an Audi A5 Sportback 2.0 TDI car on your drive include eye-catching and classy good looks, hatchback practicality, big boot, good rear seat legroom, leather upholstery as standard, high specification and a great engine says David Miles.

The A5 Sportback 2.0 TDI is strikingly appealing with it finely constructed coupe styling. It has a huge advantage of having four doors and a tailgate, excelling over its competitors like the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the underrated and often overlooked VW Passat five-door Coupe in looks, brand value, standard leather upholstery and the highest resale values

Visually, the Sportback 2.0 TDI share some features with A5 cars like the same nose, the rippled waistline, the flicky bootlip and has a similar rear end. It has the classy frameless doors, too.

The car is equipped with an interval wiper with rain sensor. It has tainted car windows as well as electric mirrors in it exterior. It also has a folding mirror and lights that turns on automatically. Xenon headlights are used as it main head lamp with headlamp washer.

The interior of the Audi A5 Sportback 2.0 TDI is masterly done. The height of both the driver and the passenger seats are adjustable. Also adorable is the adjustable steering wheel which is leather coated. The leather seats have center arm rest, with a fold-down rear seat. The rear seats also have head rest. Furthermore, it is fitted with reading lights, adjustable panel illuminator, tachnometer, day counter, temperature meter, board meter, and a navigation system.

In terms of performance, the Sportback 2.0 TDI can accelerate to a top speed of 228 km/h from 0-100 km/h in just less than nine seconds. It has a average consumption 43.5mpg in the urban and in the extra urban - 62.8mpg, and a combined consumption of 54.3mp. It emits only 137 g/km of carbon di-oxide. Its four-star rating on performance shows that the car lives up to expectation in the mind of car users.

The engine sits in front with four inline cylinders with two-valve per cylinder. Its maximum power capacity is 125KW (170 hp) or 4200rpm with a maximum torque of 350Nm. It has a common rail fuel system and the DOHC engine type which engine turbos with an intercooler installed.

In addition, like most A5 cars, the Sportback 2.0 TDI has airbags installed on both the passenger side and the driver side. Side air bags are also installed in front of the car. It also has the front curtain air bag installed as well as the electronic stability program (ESP).

The Audi A5 sportback 2.0 TDI makes driving fun and safe because it operates on a central lock system, with front and rear electric windows. The power steering unites your soul with that of the car, putting you in charge. Finally, its cruise control mechanism and a parking sensor is just a icing on the cake.

If you are still not convinced that this car that will readily seat four adults and fit into your garage neatly is not worth driving, then you might want to go for the old school VW bug. It certainly means you are an old soul.
