The A6 Avant Range is a prime example of using size to intimidate the competition. Being one of the largest cars in the executive class, Audi has taken the market by storm with a strong and beautiful design powered by an impressive 286bhp engine. The A6 Avant Range proves that a sedan can look good and have the power to back it up.

One of the largest trunks available in a sedan can be found in the A6 Avant Range. Boasting an impressively wide load floor and a pair of recessed rails, this is an impressive example of functionality meeting style. The availability of four adjustable storage compartments combined with a storage net helps keep things in place while you're driving. The bag hooks and an additional storage net allow for even more storage possibilities. There is also the optional lockable side storage compartment that can be used to store more valuable belongings and help keep them out of sight.

But wait there's more storage space available, Audi has inserted storage trays underneath the floor that are perfect for stowing toys, shoes and other necessities for active drivers. The ability to lock the floor into a number of positions helps to keep your items firmly in place. There is also an optional telescopic rail that conveniently locks into the conventional rail system and can used to hold larger pieces of luggage in place. There is also a retaining strap that can be used to pin objects against the sides of the trunk, which is much more convenient than having pieces rolling back and forth unsecured.

By incorporating more aluminum in the design of the A6 Avant Range's hood, front bumper, trunk lid and firewall, Audi has helped trim some of the weight off of the Avant making it lighter. With a lighter frame, the diesel power of the 2.0 liter common rail TDI allows for the A6 to go from 0-60 in an impressive 5.9 seconds. The standard A6 engine is powered by 134bhp but you can choose the optional more powerful 168bhp. There are also two more powerful options if neither of those have enough power for you. Audi also offers two V6 TDI options, a 2.7 liter with 187bhp and a 3.0 liter with 237bhp. The petrol choices of the engine offer the driver a 2.0 liter TFSI engine with 168bhp or the 2.8 liter V6 217bhp. As if that wasn't enough choices, Audi still has one more option for driver's buying the A6 Avant. The final option is a supercharged 3.0 liter TFSI engine with 286bhp.

There are also choices of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive Quattro or an allroad model with increased height and other off road options. There is also the choice of a six speed manual or Tiptronic automatic transmission or the Multitronic CVT. The A6 Avant Range is equipped with a double wishbone front and multi link rear suspension.

The interior is more spacious than others in the same category. The A6 shows that Audi has designed a vehicle that is made to impress and prove that it belongs in the class that it is in. Audi has designed a roomy and powerful car that any Audi fan will appreciate.
