Bentley has designed a perfectly balanced and elegant looking convertible. This is the car that many dream of and few are lucky enough to own. It encompasses everything that a convertible should be and then some. It looks as perfect parked as it does going 80mph down the highway.
Equipped with a 552bhp twin turbo charged 6.0 liter W12 engine, the Continental GTC is able to go from 0-60 in an astounding 4.8 seconds and tops out at a max speed of 195mph. The 650Nm of torque is reached at a mere 1,600rpm which makes it powerful yet easy to control while driving. If that isn't enough power for you, there is also the option of the GTC Speed model which provides the driver with 600bhp and designed to offer a more sporting feeling while driving.
The power provided by the impressive engine is put to the road through the rear-biased four wheel drive system that provides the driver with a sense of stability in all weather conditions. The six speed automatic transmission was designed for use by Bentley by ZF. This is operated by using paddles located behind the steering wheel or it can also be operated like a typical automatic with no shifting required. The steering system in the Continental GTC is the Bentley Servotronic design which has been improved to offer the driver improved feedback and control while driving.
The aerodynamics of the Continental GTC was designed by the best aerodynamicists employed by the Volkswagen Group. The interior is as impressive as the exterior, featuring the leather and wood veneers that Bentley has become known for. The dash has been designed symmetrically with the center console rising up to form a design resembling the winged Bentley logo. The interior also offers an abundance of head and leg room for passengers and the driver.
Bentley has also made sure to include certain trademark aspects into the new Continental GTC. From the chromed bulls eye ventilation outlets to the organ stop controls, you can tell from first sight that this is a car produced by Bentley. They have also added new technology to make it easier for the driver to control different areas within the car. The touch screen LCD located on the center console is used to control the air conditioning, navigation system, computer information and entertainment system.
