BMW has created an automobile that offers the driver power and comfort which add to the pleasurable ride of the 6 Series. They have created a car that is part luxury and part sports car. The newly improved 6 Series Range is equipped with a 3.0 liter high precision injection double-VANOS unit. It is capable of producing 272bhp. If that isn't enough power for you, there is also the 635d which boasts a twin-turbo diesel which can produce an astounding 580 N of torque at only 1,750rpm which makes it incredibly fast. If you're still not impressed BMW offers a 4.8 liter engine in the 650i that is able to produce 367bhp which enables the 650i to go from 0-60 in only 5.1 seconds where it tops out at a predetermined and limiting 155mph.

BMW has designed a series that offers the look of a luxury touring vehicle with the power and speed that one would expect from a sports car. This series can be comfortable driving through the city, but it is at its best when you are able to open the throttle and experience all the power the cars in this series are capable of producing. If you are able to fully enjoy the power and speed the 6 Series has to offer, you will forget that you are actually behind the wheel of a luxury automobile.

There have been some improvements made to the exterior of the 6 Series automobiles. BMW has changed the headlights to LED's, which seems to be becoming the norm in premium cars these days. They have designed the headlights using a thin row of lights that rests above the main headlight which makes for a sportier look. BMW has also redesigned the air intakes making them sleeker and the rear bumper has been redesigned to give the impression of a wider car.

The interior offers ample room for two and the steering wheel and pedals are adjustable which will make virtually anyone who sits behind the wheel comfortable. There is not much space in rear for seating anyone older than five comfortably. The rear seating space is best suited for bag storage than for passengers. The interior was designed for ease of use with iDrive control wheel easily accessible by the driver. BMW has also incorporated a Favorites button which is located in the center of the console so that the driver can easily access primary functions without having to search for the controls.

BMW has decided to go with a diesel powered engine throughout the series. This will make the cars more efficient and environmentally friendly to operate on a regular basis. The 6 Series also features BMW's EfficientDynamics technology which includes Brake Energy Regeneration, which uses energy produced while braking to recharge the car's battery. There is also an air-conditioning compressor that can be operated independently of the drivetrain which reduces engine drag. All of these improvements allow for the 635d averaging an impressive 40mpg while producing 183g or CO2 per mile. BMW has not only produced an impressively powerful series but has also managed to make them efficient as well.
