BMW has designed one of the most technologically advanced cars of this stature. They have also included some of the most anticipated and envy inspiring engines available in any of their cars. The 730d features a common-rail diesel powered six cylinder engine which is capable of producing 245bhp plus an unheard of 540Nm of torque. The 740d features a twin-turbo version of the same engine which produces 306bhp. Next in line is the 740i which features a six cylinder 3.0 liter petrol powered engine with twin turbochargers that produce 326bhp and 450Nm of torque. The 740i is able to go from 0-62mph in only 5.9 seconds, while the 750i can reach 60mph in only 5.2 seconds using a 4.4 liter engine with a twin turbo direct injection system. This engine configuration allows the 750i to produce 407bhp and an astonishing 600Nm of torque.

Cars in the 7 Series come equipped with a six speed automatic transmission along with the Dynamic Driving Control System which allows the driver the ability to change the set-up of the car by changing between Comfort, Normal, Sport and Sport + modes. The technology that is part of the 7 Series allows the car to change steering, throttle response and gear shift speeds according to road condition and the driver's style. The 7 Series also features a double wishbone suspension in the front and a multi-link design in the rear.

BMW has made some cosmetic enhancements to the exterior of the 7 Series; the easily recognizable grill is now a bit more upright than in previous versions and the lines of the car have been enhanced to provide a raised center section of the hood. The interior includes all of the features that fans of BMW have come to recognize and become familiar with. BMW offers the option of adding a night vision system to cars in the 7 Series. These features can detect and warn the driver if a person or animal enters the path of the car. There is also a front side view camera system available that will provide the driver with a better view at blind junctions. The Lane Departure Warning system is also available and will monitor the road markings and let the driver know if they are crossing into the other lane, another option is the Speed Limit Warning System that is able to read road signs and alert the driver if they are going over the recommended speed limits. Another option available for buyers to choose from includes the Integral Active Steering System which allows for the rear wheels to be steered by as much as 3 degrees.

BMW has included some of the latest technology available in cars today, which makes the 7 Series all the more impressive. Along with the new additions, they are also including some of their tried and true systems into the 7 Series, such as, EfficientDynamics, Dynamic Stability Control +, Hill Start Assist, Brake Fade Compensation and Brake Energy Regeneration. This Series is one that will impress any prospective buyer who longs for the latest in technology and those that prefer systems that have been proven to be indispensible to the driver.
