Drivers looking to show off themselves as well as their keen ability to choose a muscle car will want to start their shopping with the BMW M6 Convertible. The ragtop version of the M6 is a sheer delight to drive. Though if you push this car to the limits you may very well be wishing you had a hard top covering your dome as this M6 does not come with a hard top option.
If you dare to take the M6 for a test drive make sure you run it to full effect. Use the gear shift set that will let you get the top 0-60mph jump in 4.5 seconds. Or maybe you shouldn't do that on the test drive you're your sales rep may just park you for good.
Maybe you should take it to a closed track where you can take the 500bhp 10 valve engine to its full bore 155mph. As you shift through the world's first production seven-speed sequential gearbox you will understand what it means to drive something truly special. What makes the M6 Convertible an extra special car is the Drivelogic gearbox system that shifts gears about 20% faster than the earlier versions of the SMG gearbox in older version beamers. The gearbox comes with eleven different shift patterns; five for manual, five for automatic and the special one that allows you to act like a Formula One Driver and get the most out of the engine.
The BMW M6 Convertible also comes with a specially designed stability control system. The stability control system features three setting. One setting is the default setting that has all the safety feature enabled allowing the car to perform well while keeping you safe. Another setting takes a few of the safety setting off allowing for a little more freedom in turns. The final setting removes all stability, safety controls and allows you to push the limit with the car.
One of the best things that the BMW M6 Convertible offers is a relatively quiet cabin even with the rag top down. The BMW designers took great pains to make sure that the airflow around the car is directed away from the passenger cabin even at speeds of over 100mph. You and your passenger will not have to endure too much turbulence even if you push the car to its limits. And let's be serious why buy a convertible if you can drive comfortably with the top down.
The only drawback to the BMW M6 Convertible is that no matter how much you spend making yourself look great everyone is going to be looking at the beautiful outside styling of the car. The front pushes through the atmosphere with a shark like nose with three intact ducts pushed slightly below the bumper giving this car a serious growl. As you move over the hood you get a sleek look with racing divots leading to the pushed back windshield. As you move to check out the rear you will see four sexy exhaust pipes sticking out and breathing a nice, racing purr.
This car is not of the weak at hear tor wallet. If you want one of these beauties you will need to fork over about 88,000 pounds.
At the end of the day if you have the money and the lifestyle this is pretty much the only car out there that will allow you show the world who you truly are inside and out.
