The entry level engine that the CTS 3.6 comes equipped with is a 2.8 liter V6 which produces 208bhp. There is the option of upgrading to a 306bhp 3.6 liter V6 that comes loaded with a 6-speed automatic transmission. There is also the more powerful option of a 6.2 liter V8 that offers the driver 556bhp and is able to go from 0-60 in less than four seconds.

What does this mean for the driver, it allows them to go from 0-60 in a mere 3.9 seconds which is faster than other cars in the same class and it tops out at a max speed of 191mph. The CTS-V has proven itself by completing a lap at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in under eight minutes, which is rather impressive among cars in the same class.
