A Range of Possibilities
The Aveo was Chevrolet's entry into the small, European-style, family, economy cars. The Aveo is available in a sedan and also available in a hatchback which is called the Aveo5. Both cars offer the consumer a wide range of possibilities.
Let's start first with the basic model called the LS. Both the Aveo LS and the Aveo 5 LS come standard with a 5 speed manual transmission and a 108-horsepower motor, 4-cylinder engine and five passenger seating capacity. The manual 5-speed will get you an estimated 27mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.
The interior of the LS model comes equipped with the OnStar system and free service for 6 months. OnStar is the onboard navigation, roadside assistance, emergency response system. OnStar can help with directions, unlocking the car if you lock your keys inside and also can call emergency vehicles in the event you have an accident and cannot call for help yourself. It is one of the best things that Chevrolet has in their cars. It can help provide peace-of-mind for you and your family.
The LS models also come standard with an AM/FM 4 speaker stereo with an auxiliary input for your MP3 players, cloth interior, front console storage, front and rear cup holders, front door pockets, power steering, front 12volt power outlets and an adjustable steering wheel. Air condition is not standard, but is available as an upgrade.
The LS sedan starts a little under $12,000 while the LS hatchback starts a little over $12,000.
If you are looking for an automatic transmission you will have to step up the 1LT model of either the sedan or the hatchback. Both the Aveo and the Aveo5 1LT models offer an options 4 speed automatic transmission as an option.
The 1LT models also add in air conditioning and a 6 speaker AM/FM radio with auxiliary input. The 1LT also included optional upgrades of keyless entry, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, Bluetooth and satellite radio.
The Aveo 1Lt and the Aveo5 1LT both start at a little over $14,000.
The top of the line model of the Aveo and the Aveo5 is called is called the 2LT model. The 2LT model offers all the 1LT options as standard as well as 15-inch wheels, fog lamps, a trip computer, upgraded upholstery, heated mirrors and steering wheel mounted audio controls. The Aveo5 2LT also comes with a standard rear spoiler. Optional upgrades for the Aveo 2LT and the Aveo5 2LT include a sunroof, vinyl (leatherette) seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and Bluetooth.
The Aveo 2LT and the Aveo5 2LT both start out at around $15,365.
The Aveo and the AVEo5 series are great for small families because they offer enough interior room along with decent storage capacity coupled with safety features that keep your family safe.
The Aveo and the Aveo5 are great for students as well because they are easy to drive and some with OnStar to allow their parents to know that no matter what happens their young adults are always connected to another human being.
