DUAL FUEL SUCCESS
Our Rating: No Rating Available
Citroen has achieved a degree of success in their line of vans that other manufacturers are still aiming for in this category. Part of Citroen's success may lie in their Ready to Run program that they equip their vans with. This program is designed with their customer's needs in mind; it was designed to meet the needs of the companies that choose to use a Citroen van as part of their business.
Citroen has installed the very reliable and advanced Nicholson McLaren Engines dual fuel conversion engines in their Citroen line of vans. These engines include a 59 liter LPG tank that is mounted in the space normally reserved for the spare tire; the LPG filler is mounted next to the petrol filler and under the standard fuel filler cap.
The Berlingo 1.6i Dual Fuel vans offer the driver the same performance as their petrol powered rivals. With the Dual Fuel system, Citroen is capable of delivering fuel savings to the customer while complying with the Powershift Band 4 emission standards which makes it a very economical and efficient vehicle for many businesses.
The interior of the Citroen Berlingo Dual Fuel Van is well-designed and made from quality materials. The storage space provided is ample and allows for almost anything you can imagine to be loaded comfortably inside. Citroen has also added storage space designed to hold everything the driver would need without it rolling around the cabin freely. There are two and three seater cab options which allow for plenty of room if more than one person is required to ride up front. In the two seater version, Citroen has installed a desk and cup holder that can be used by the driver when the passenger seat is folded down.
There is ample space within the cabin so that the driver and passenger do not feel constricted. The only problem with the Citroen Berlingo Dual Fuel Van comes to attention when the three seater version is used. The placement of the third seat conflicts with the placement of the gearshift and can make for an uncomfortable ride. The most notable advantage of having the three seater is that when the set is folded down the cargo storage space can fit longer objects.
There are two trim level packages available for buyers to choose from, the X and LX. Citroen provides standard equipment that includes ABS brakes, a trip computer, CD stereo, electric front windows and adjustable mirrors. If the buyer chooses the LX version they will get remote central locking, heated mirrors and a temperature sensor. Many drivers will benefit from the addition of the Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation and tracking system. Citroen also offers the option of adding the All-Road pack which was designed for drivers who routinely drive on rough surfaces; this option adds larger tires and extra under body protection for the Berlingo.
With all of the features that the Berlingo has to offer it is no wonder why it has become one of the more popular vehicles for businesses to use.
