The Berlingo First Van series is one of Citroen's most popular lines and deserves all of the praise that customers apply to it. The vans in the First range consist of two 600kg payload vans that are competitively priced. One is a 1.4i variant that receives its power from a Euro 4.75hp petrol powered engine. The other is a 1.6HDi diesel powered version which offers 75hp and is able to run on bio diesel, this version seems to be among the favorites for prospective buyers.
Vans in the Berlingo First line come well equipped with standard equipment from Citroen. This equipment includes a driver's side airbag, anti-submarine seats and pyrotechnic seat belt pre-tensioners. Standard equipment installed in the cargo area includes load securing eyelets, interior load area lights and a ladder frame bulkhead located behind the driver Both versions of the van average 70mph on highways and 60mph on regular roads.
Options offered by Citroen include a Pack Plus system that provides remote central locking, power front windows and heated side mirrors. Other options that buyers may consider are air conditioning, a sliding load door, a choice of bulkheads and a front passenger airbag.
The exterior of the Berlingo Firsts feature deep bumpers, a prominent grill and headlights that curve up into the hood. The interior features a design that is visually appealing and functional. Citroen has installed a center console display that provides the driver with all of the running information they need. The dash features larger buttons, sufficient storage space and circular shaped vents that allow for maximum air flow.
