The C3 Picasso stands out as the new wave of sexy and sleek in the today's world of the gas guzzling SUV. When most think of a compact vehicle, they imagine that it will be quite cramped and not stand out when traveling down the road with the rest of the family. However, Citroen shows that this is not the case when it comes to the C3 Picasso.
A great aspect of the Picasso's spaciousness is the illusion of having an open-top vehicle because of the giant panoramic sunroof. This sunroof provides everyone inside the vehicle with as much natural sunlight as they would ever need even on the dimmest of days. This can do a lot for those who are trying to get groceries from the market back home in the giant space that the boot offers with the adjustable floor and parcel shelf.
This 1.6-litre Vti version of the Citroen C3 Picasso runs on petrol like the 1.4-litre version. The difference between the two is a mere twenty-five horses under the hood. With the 1.4-litre Picasso, you are given 95bhp and in this 1.6-litre version you are given 120bhp. This is not the strong suit of the Picasso but will get the job done nonetheless and have you back home with all four of the kids in the back.
The greatest thing about having a vehicle with great economy is the money that is saved when you do not have to waste it at the pump. The C3 Picasso can get up to 40.9mpg and that is no laughing matter. Every time you fill up on petrol, you will remember why you love having this car and most of all, the massive amount of money you are saving. In times like these, with the price of oil skyrocketing every day, it becomes important to have a car that keeps your wallet fat but also keeps the environment relatively healthy. The C3 Picasso will end up with CO2 emissions somewhere around 159g/km which is nothing to sneeze at.
Some other added feature of the Picasso include the multitude of gadgets that come along for the ride and how much they can help on stress-filled days of running the daily rounds. These helpful gadgets include cruise control and a speed limiter, which provides a limit that the car cannot exceed on its own. Both of these can be overridden by simply pressing down on the accelerator. There is also a rear parking sensor that can always be helpful when trying to parallel park or just backing up. Finally, there are the automatic windscreen wipers that adjust to the intensity of the rain.
For around £14,000, the C3 Picasso is a great MPV for the whole family. But you have to ask yourself if it is worth having a vehicle that is stylish, spacious, and economic over one that screams out power. But if it came down to practicality for you, then the Citroen C3 Picasso is definitely a top pick.
