The fastest of the DS3's in the new DS range of Citroens is the DS3 1.6 THP with a top speed of 214kph. This powerful super mini boasts of its 1.6 turbo-charged motor engine similar to the Mini Cooper S, powerful enough to sprint to 100kph in 7.3 seconds. Citroen DS3 1.6 THP is Citroen's next mighty rally machine.
Citroen has recently gone from its standard lines to take a piece of the mini car phenomena, creating the new DS range. The first of its kind is the DS3. Although it borrows its name from the older Citroen DS produced in the year 1955, it is nowhere near the older DS cars. What the manufacturer revived was not the car but the spirit of innovation that inspired the making of the older DS. The DS3 range has an ultra modern design and modern technology cleverly knitted together in this small super car. Citroen DS3 1.6 THP is the top of the line for DS3 petrol engines at 6-speed manual. This robust machine in sleek architecture has an eye-catching lines defined by its intriguing 'killer shark-fin' split B-pillar, contrasting roof panel and front double chevron chrome grille LED lights that add to the impression of swiftness. A definite head-turner, this little monster makes for the next generation buzz.
This stunning mighty machine takes the killer look deep into its interior with its classy elegance created by the luxurious touch of leather, fabric and chrome. The ultra-modern design and advance technology woven together to create a power console with beautiful circular arrangement of dials for easy access to available gadgets. Each DS3 is equipped with the cruise control with a speed limiter, MP3 and WMA compatible CD player with a sub woofer in the boot and Bluetooth© hands free kit, ventilation controls and the MyWay satellite navigation unit which incorporates a sophisticated audio and multimedia system, wide format colour screen all ready to take the road easy. This car comes fully loaded with standard safety features like ESP stability control, six airbags and ABS braking system with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and EBA (Emergency Brake Assist). It has a gearshift indicator that prompts drivers to change gear at the exact moment. To top it all, the cabin is spacious for its size and reasonably fits five adults. The legroom takes its extra stretch from the slender front seats design and raised dashboard.
To make the trendy DS3s standout even more; Citroen went far by offering the buyers a free hand on colour combinations to come up with the buyers' very own idea of a trendy car. From different shades of body finish, they can choose any one of the four colours for the roof to come with it, to get a uniquely personal character. The drama is defined by the contrasting colour of the roof with the body, creating a ?floating-roof? effect. The mirrors, rubbing strips, wheels, dashboards, gear knobs, are also free to be mixed and matched! Citroen DS3 super mini is putting more power in the hands of the buyers.
Citroen has worked doubly hard to give this sports car a rather firm and yet supple and more comfortable ride for it to be named 2010 Car of the Year by Top Gear magazine. With firmer suspension (Macpherson struts upfront, torsion beams at the rear), easy steering and a sporty cockpit-like driving position, this hatchback gives the driver the 'feel', the power and full control over the road for ease of handling every kind of road situation. Citroen DS3 combines riding comfort together with responsive wheel-handling for a secure and engaging drive. Citroen DS3 1.6 THP is one small fast car gearing towards a big bright future. It's time to own one and stay ahead.
