Fiat has put more muscles to its small MPV Qubo cars in the new Fiat Qubo Trekking. This special model is designed for the more adventurous users, with the addition of 4x4 styling appendages. This small car is a front-wheel drive like all the models of its line, but it has extra ability not found in the regular Qubo. Fiat equipped the Qubo Trekking with the Fiat technology Traction+ system. Traction+ works by improving tire grip, in conjunction with the revised suspension system. The suspensions were raised by 10 mm, over-all 20mm more ground clearance, and the front end of the car fitted with a chrome off road kit for lateral protection. Simply, Traction+ system can detect when one wheel looses grip, then it channels the engine's torque to the other one, maintaining the progressive forward push. For that extra muscled grip on the road, Fiat also equipped the Qubo trekking with the all weather Pirelli P2500 'mud and snow' tires for slippery situations.

The Fiat Qubo range is based on the Fiat Fiorino van. A small commercial vehicle designed to suit urban business that boasts of 'free-space'. Space-wise, the Fiat Qubo compact MPV status in Fiat Qubo Trekking remains. It has a cube-styling giving it a more spacious head-room that fits five passengers with 330 litre of luggage. When the rear seats are removed, it has a maximum cargo space of 2,500 litres. A notable family friendly design is the two sliding rear doors for extra-easy access. Fiat Qubo is a compact car at 3.959 metres long, 1.735 metres high, and 1.716 metres wide, with a turning circle of less than 10 metres, and a compact, snub-nosed exterior design is ideal for use around town, making narrow city streets and urban traffic driving a breeze.

This muscle is powered with 75 HP, 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine, with a 1,368cc four-cylinder unit, developing 75bhp and 190Nm or torque from 1,750rpm and runs 60mph in 16.5s until it reaches its top speed of 97mph.

The interior has the usual simple and user-friendly controls for the audio and ventilation systems conveniently tucked in the centre console. Even with the comprehensive trip computer that takes a little getting used to, all the features in the Qubo can be easily learned and mastered by the less techno user. In addition, it has Fiat's impressive 'Blue and Me' multimedia system; blue-tooth communication/ telephone integration and a USB port for remote control of MP3 players. It is clutter-free with its generous storage, an extremely large glove box and a number of other smaller receptacles, thoughtful design for practicality and function. It is also equipped with power steering, remote central locking and a split rear seat. Cool and trendy, Fiat Qubo Trekking is available in various colours; Metallic - Bolero red, Metallic - Rockabilly black, Metallic - Minimal grey, Solid - Rumba red, Solid - Ambient white, Special Solid - Line blue, special Solid - Funky Orange.

Robust, solid, muscled, spacious, economical and eco-friendly compact MPV with additional standard equipment that means impressive value for money, that's the Fiat Qubo Trekking at its very best.
