Ford Fiesta initially made its debut in 1976. It was designed to attract the European small car market with its modern features and a reasonably affordable price tag. Since then, it has gained a loyal and dedicated following. Evidently, Ford Fiesta has become Europe's best-selling car for 2010.

Borrowing the sporty Ford Fiesta Zetec-S Model's good looks and speed, Ford Fiesta ECOnetic is the next best thing if not the best Fiesta there is. With a sleek 'kinetic' design, this bold, sexy and still trendy supermini is the green version of the Fiesta Zetec-S, literally, with a body that is metallic green. It is offered with one engine and one spec, and a choice of either three or five doors hatch. Cheaper than a Zetec-S Model, ECOnetic is the cheapest way to get the Zetec 1.6TDCi engine. It is cheaper to run too, if not the cheapest in its class. Running in the aerodynamic fundamentals; it has the Zetec-S model's lower suspension for a more aerodynamic efficiency, an added wheel deflectors and aerodynamic wheel covers and tires that are fuel-saving with its low-rolling resistance, tires on steel 14-inch wheels, low friction oil in the engine/transmission, a green shift indicator light tells the driver when to change gear using the 5-speed gearbox for maximum fuel efficiency and the engine compartment has an undershield for a smoother and more improved aerodynamic flow. The engine itself is especially calibrated; 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi 90 PS engine and 5-speed transmission have been modified for optimum fuel economy without compromising the acclaimed driveability of the new Ford Fiesta. The Coated Diesel Particulate Filter (cDPF) helps to reduce diesel particulate emissions from the vehicles exhaust. Then there are CO2 emissions of only 98g/km, meaning road tax is free!

The Ford Fiesta ECOnetic is not only aerodynamically and environmentally better, it is also safer with a five-star safety badge on its name, rated by ANCAP. It has the standard driver and front passenger airbags, head and thorax front side airbags, driver's knee airbag, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and dynamic stability control with traction control and emergency brake assist ensure a reliable, peaceful and safe driving.

The Ford Fiesta ECOnetic comes fully loaded. Standard in the ECOnetic model are; Manual air conditioning, Electrically-operated front windows with a 'one shot' up and down driver's window, driver's seat height adjustment, Ford Easy Fuel capless refuelling system, remote control central double locking, Trip computer, three-spoke leather steering wheel, anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), 16? 5-spoke sports alloy wheels, Body colour front and rear bumper skirts, side skirts, Quickclear heated windscreen, Electronic Stability Programme, alloy pedals cappings, lowered and stiffened sports suspension, a radio/CD Player with MP3 connection with 4 front speakers, sporty front seats, a body-coloured sports 'aero' kit rear spoiler, front fog light, headlights with chrome surround, perimeter alarm and optional Rear parking sensors.

The Ford ECOnetic's TDCi engine gives an impressive low-end torque giving ease in driving. With a slightly stiffer springs and new tires, lower stance that amazing does not detract from the Fiesta's ability in corners, adds to this supermini ki-netic looks the ECO-nomic and ECO-logic advantage. That's the ECOnetic advantage!
