Nissan 370Z Roadster
The Nissan 370Z has so far failed to really live up to expectations. Even the recently revamped GT Edition just did not live up to the hype surrounding the line, and Nissan seem to be well aware of the shortcomings and as a consequence have now come up with the 370Z Roadster, which has been specifically fine-tuned to suit the driving conditions on roads in the United Kingdom rather better than its predecessors, in what is a deliberate update for 2011.
Nissan Leaf Nismo
The Nissan Leaf Nismo is by no means the first all-electric racing car ever devised, but it does bear the honour of being the first such electric racing car to be based around a production vehicle. It also gives a surprising look at just what a battery-powered sports car that has been mass-produced might look like.
Nissan Micra DIG-S
A diesel engine is not necessary to achieve great fuel economy – or at least that is the bold claim that Nissan are making with the new Micra DIG-S Pure Drive. The new Nissan Micra is powered instead by a brand new 97 bhp 1.2-litre supercharged petrol unit which has no less than three cylinders and uses a much more efficient engine cycle that has very low revs whilst also including such features as direct injection, low friction surfaces, and a stop start system. The result is an impressive fuel consumption rate of 68.9 miles per gallon, with CO2 emissions of just 95g per kilometre.
Nissan Qashqai
Over a million models of the Nissan Qashqai have been sold all over the world since it was first launched four years ago back in 2007. Now Nissan is aiming to continue that success story with the addition of a number of subtle updates to the vehicle – such as the introduction to the range of the most powerful 1.6-litre diesel engine in the entire world.
