Peugeot 308 CC e-HDI
The time has apparently come for the Peugeot 308 CC to get itself an update – and that update turns out to include not only a sharp new look but also the arrival of an e-HDI diesel unit that promises much greater efficiency than ever before.
Peugeot 508 1.6 HDi Active
It may be the most premium Peugeot yet, but the real question is whether the 508 will be able to set a new standard for CO2 emissions as well. The greenest model in the series to date until now – the 109g per kilometre e-HDi – also proved to be one of its biggest disappointments, thanks to a very jerky auto box. Fortunately, those after both low running costs and strong fuel economy now have another option.
Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4
The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 appears to have it all, at least in terms of numbers, with 4-wheel drive, a bhp rating of 200, fuel economy of more than 70 miles per gallon and CO2 emissions of as low as just 99g per kilometre. The figure that is perhaps the most important of them all, however, the massive starting price of £26,995, is the one that is the least impressive. Can it really justify that cost?
