Lexus CT 200h is produced by the luxury vehicle division of Toyota Motor Corporation, a Japanese automaker, in December 2010. This model was first unveiled to the public at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2010, and it specifically targets the European market for its production.
This car has its assembly at Miyawaka, Fukuoka in Japan and made its way into the North American market when it was displayed at the New York International Auto Show in April 2010. The CT 200h is a compact car that has a five door hatchback body style and a front engine, front wheel drive layout.
The CT 200h was only marketed in its place of assembly, Japan, by January 2011, and sales in the United States began shortly thereafter (in March 2011). The chassis of Lexus CT 200h is based largely on the Toyota MC platform, and among its key selling points aside from its notable exterior and interior design is its vehicle stability control or VSC, vehicle proximity notification system, airbags, and telematic services.
In Europe, CT 200h became even more prominent when Kylie Minogue, the Australian pop singer, became its spokesperson. CT 200h was also market in Australia and North America, and it has been recognized as the Best Small Car for 2011 in Australia’s Best Cars.
