Used BMW 1 Series Cars and Second Hand 1 Series's for sale

A used BMW 1 Series is a popular car amongst families, providing a luxury small family car in one of four different body styles.

The first BMW 1 Series car went into production in 2004 as a successor to the BMW Compact. There are two generations of the 1 Series, with chassis consisting of three and five door hatchbacks, coupe and convertible.

Second hand first generation BMW 1 Series cars have many of the same features as the larger BMW 3 Series. The idea behind the small family car is to provide consumers with a way to enter into the BMW market and work their way up.

The first car launched in the BMW 1 Series sales was the five door hatchback: the only rear wheel drive car in its class. This was followed by a two door coupe in 2007. The convertible followed the coupe by entering the US and Canadian market in 2008 as the 128i and 135i. In Europe, the convertible and coupe were received as 120i and 125i in both chassis. The convertible version featured a soft top rather than the hard top of the 3 Series. The result was a lighter top that took up less boot space.

In July 2010, the M variant of the 1 Series coupe was announced on YouTube and via a press release.

The second generation of the 1 Series is a recent edition to the model line, having gone on sale as the 2012 model. The five door version has potential to be the models most popular achievement. It was presented on the 6th of June 2011 and features a 1.6 petrol and a 2.0 diesel engine, both with twin turbo. The 3-door boasts perfect weight distribution and award winning EfficientDynamics engine technologies.
