A definitive product of the 21st century, the Ford Galaxy is a luxuriously roomy 7-seater Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) housing the very best in technology and offering a first class driving experience. First manufactured in 1995, the current Ford Galaxy is third generation and was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2006. This generation is larger than previous models, making it an excellent tow vehicle. In the UK the Ford Galaxy is offered in Edge, Zetec and Ghia trim. In 2008 the Ford Galaxy became available with titanium high-series trim as on the Ford Focus. A big seller for the Ford Galaxy is the Fold Flat System which allows rear seating to fold flat to the floor to allow more room for storage.
Ford Galaxy cars treat driver, passenger and pedestrian safety very seriously and in 2006 they received the Euro New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) maximum 5-star rating for successfully completing all safety crash tests to European standard.
In 2007, 2008 and 2009 the Ford Galaxy won the Business Car of the Year Award, 2009 and 2010 saw the Ford Galaxy win the two-day MPG Marathon. In 2010, Professional Drivers Magazine voted Best MPV the Ford Galaxy.
The Ford Galaxy averages an economical 47/mpg and CO2 159 (g/km), and is available in both manual and automatic choices.
