Mercedes-Benz is a German car manufacturer, a division of the Daimler Company, which also produces trucks, buses and coaches. Its origins stem from Karl Benz, who created the first car powered by petrol in 1886 and also from Gottlieb Daimler who converted a stagecoach through the addition of a petrol engine in the same year.
