History of Mercedes Benz C-Class
In the year 1993, Mercedes Benz, the German automobile manufacturer, produced the Mercedes Benz C-Class, which is a compact executive car with a front engine and rear wheel drive layout. This car was first sold in sedan and station wagon body styles, but this was later redesigned to make it a hatchback coupé and was called the Mercedes Benz CLC Class.
The C-Class was created as a successor to the W201 (190) and has come to be known as the entry level model up of Mercedes Benz. This is assembled in several countries including Germany, South Africa, Vietnam, Egypt, and Mexico and is made available as a four door sedan and a five door wagon.
The second generation C-Class was released in July 2000 and remained in the market until December 2006. This version was developed in as early as 1994 and was assembled in Germany, Brazil, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Mexico, and Malaysia. It came in various body styles including a two door coupe, a four door sedan, and a five door station wagon.
The current version of the C-Class is the third generation, which was produced since 2007. Its body style is available as a four door saloon or a five door estate, and this was displayed at the Geneva Auto Show in 2007.
