Mercedes-Benz S-Class cars were first produced in 1972 as the epitome of a high-end, luxurious vehicle that also put an emphasis on hi-tech safety features. Mercedes has continued to improve this technology over the years so that the S-Class can now use radar to monitor traffic and brake in dangerous situations. It also has Night View Assistance to make night time driving safer.

The S-Class is a pioneering car as it was the model on which Mercedes showcased its cutting-edge safety technology.
