Porsche has unveiled a new tri-turbo system for its horizontally opposed 3.8-litre six-cylinder engine fitted in its 911 Turbo. The new system effectively ramps up the engine's already potent power output, overall economy and in-gear performance.
The automaker plans to replace the 911 Turbo's current twin-turbo set-up with a complex triple-turbo induction process identical to that used in BMW M's six-cylinder diesel-powered X6 xDrive50d and M550d xDrive models.
