This newer model is aesthetically similar to the Corsa of today, with instantly recognisable curves and the Corsa's trademark compact size. The Corsa B, as it was universally known, also gained critical acclaim, with Vauxhall Corsa sales rocketing upon its release. The Corsa C was unveiled in mid-2000, borrowing elements from the success of its immediate predecessor, with the Vauxhall's D model maintaining this trait when it arrived in 2006.

The Corsa is synonymous with affordability and style, with used Vauxhall Corsas being the car of choice for many newly qualified drivers.
