In motoring terms, the Vauxhall Insignia is basically brand new. First sold in 2008 as a replacement for the outdated Vauxhall Vectra, the Insignia gained critical acclaim and went on to win numerous awards across the world. The nearly new Vauxhall Insignia is the first production car in the world to feature traffic sign recognition, a system whereby a front facing camera recognizes certain instructions given by road signs and notifies the driver accordingly.

When they were launched in the October of 2008, Vauxhall Insignia cars were immediately noted for their quality. Not content with releasing such a resounding success, Vauxhall decided to introduce the Insignia OPC in early 2009. The OPC model is a high-powered variant of the original Insignia, and is powered by an enormous 2.8 litre turbocharged V6 engine produced 321bhp.

As well as winning the European Car of the Year award in 2009, the Vauxhall Insignia has received another 23 accolades around the globe. The model was voted the best Executive Car in the UK and Slovenia, the Best Family Car in Ireland as well as many, many others.
