The Vauxhall Insignia is a car manufactured by Vauhall Motors (also known, according to its registered name, as General Motors UK Ltd.), which is an auxiliary branch of Opel. The Insignia is known to parts of Europe as the Opel Insignia, but was first introduced as the Vauxhall Insignia at the British International Motor Show of 2008. This illustrated that the Vauxhall car manufacturing brand was distinctive to the UK. In other parts of the world, the Insignia is called the Buick Regal. The Insignia was produced to supposedly replace the Opel Vectra, and is classified as a large family car.

        The Insignia is a very special car, since it is known to be the very first production automobile ever to show distinctive qualities, particularly a dual-functioning anterior camera complete with traffic sign detection. This feature, along with some others, was a first for production cars, and because of this the automotive authorities took notice. The Insignia garnered quite a few awards, including the European Car of the Year Award back at 2009. It was also given a five-star rating by the European New Car Assessment Programme, or Euro NCAP. Along with these awards, the Insignia has gathered more than 50 awards, both internationally and nationally.
