MotoGP-style driver number system to be introduced

MotoGP-style driver number system to be introduced

For the 2014 F1 season onwards, drivers will be assigned a single number which will be theirs to keep for the duration of their career, which is similar to the system that MotoGP utilises. The number 1 will be reserved for the World Champion (Sebastian Vettel), whilst numbers 2 to 99 can be chosen by the drivers. If a new world champion is crowned in 2014, that driver will take over as number 1.
