Valentino Rossi is undoubtedly the most famous of modern Moto GP racers, and for good reason - he is one of only two riders who have ever won the Championship in all three capacity classes. Rossi is the current force in Moto GP, and his last name has become a brand in itself. His Moto GP career started in 2002 with Honda before moving to Yamaha and then Ducati, and he is the most decorated of all modern racers.
He has started in 202 Moto GP World Championship races and won 67 of those races. He has won the Moto GP World Championship six times in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2009, and in his early career, he won the 500cc Championship, the 250cc Championship and the 125cc Championship.
Although Rossi's current form is nothing like that of the 2002 and 2003 seasons, he's still a very serious threat to other riders, and he is showing no sign of hanging up his gloves anytime soon. Rossi is also a keen driver, and competed during the shakedown stages of the 2008 WRC in Great Britain, and he has also shown a strong interest in Formula 1.
