Renault Grand Modus

The Renault Grand Modus is a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) developed from the pre-existing Renault Modus, which had been in production since 2004. Essentially it is a grander, or larger, version of the Renault Modus. It is thought to have been inspired by rival Espace and Scenic models, to provide a larger boot and more space for passengers. By sliding a back seat forwards a larger boot is available, the back seat can be slid further back to give extra leg room.

Described by Renault as 'The Supermini with room to spare', Renault Grand Modus sales reflected the fact the new 5 door vehicle meets the demands of many.

Chronology

In February 2008 the Renault Grand Modus was launched along with a restyled Modus. It has continued to be restyled in line with modifications to its sibling car, the modus. The Grand Modus is still in production.

Achievements and Benefits

The main benefit of the Grand Modus is its large boot capacity. The maximum possible capacity for storage is 1454 litres if the rear bench is flattened. Renault Grand Modus cars are considered a safe car to drive. It has the same safety measures and equipment as the Renault Modus, which was the first car to be awarded five stars in the Euro NCAP test of August 2004 for passenger safety, having six airbags, front and rear side impact bars and child seat fitting points.

Used Renault Grand Modus cars have much to offer, but with a greatly reduced price. The vehicle has a large space for luggage and passengers with the rear seats being adjustable to give extra boot space or leg room. The vehicle offers comfort and is easy to drive. The driver is in an elevated position and has excellent visibility. Renault Grand Modus sales continue to grow for commercial and passenger use.
