Vauxhall Vivaro

The Vauxhall Vivaro has been in production since 2001, it was a joint venture between the UK manufacturer Vauxhall and French heavyweights Renault. The Vivaro is a light commercial vehicle, and can be purchased in a variety of configurations, such as a minibus, panel van and a combination of the two. For example, the Vauxhall Vivaro 'doublecab' is able to carry up to six people whilst still leaving 4.2 metres of space for equipment, meaning that this Vivaro variant finds itself competing with the legends of the trade industry.

As well as being sold by both Renault and Vauxhall, the Vivaro is also sold by Renault's owner Nissan, as the Nissan Primastar.

Vauxhall Vivaro sales are most obviously comparable to its two main competitors: the Ford Transit and the Volkswagen Transporter. The Vivaro has sold well since its inception and in 2011 sales were up 68% on 2010, making the Vivaro the number one retail sales van in the UK.

Vauxhall have introduced their revolutionary ecoFLEX system to the Vivaro, allowing carbon dioxide emissions of just 185g/km to be reasonably achieved. This impressive fuel economy has undoubtedly rivalled some competitors in financially difficult times, as increasing fuel costs force consumers to look carefully at the fuel economy of vehicles.

Vauxhall Vivaro cars really are easy to customise, this has been the model's greatest appeal. As well as being used as minibuses around the country, Vivaro vans have been spotted being used by the AA, Coca Cola, Telewest and countless other international companies. Those looking to buy a secondhand Vauxhall Vivaro should also take encouragement from the vehicle's huge success. A used Vivaro can be picked up more cheaply than the offerings of many other competitors.
