New Dodge Avenger Range

The new Dodge Avenger Range offers interesting mid-size saloons at affordable prices. People intending to buy within this market will be happy to know that they can get a well-built and well-equipped car at under £19,000. The Avenger is sure to please with a roomy interior and excellent exterior styling a well.

Safety is an important characteristic for any family-sized saloon that wants to make its mark, and the Avenger does well in this regard. It has twin front, side and curtain airbags for starters. A tyre-monitoring system makes driving down the roadway a little safer too. Traction control and ABS with brake assist round out the safety features, completing a well-equipped package.

Yet, anyone who buys a car is going to want to know about that car’s performance. The engines available in the Avenger Range have agreeable specs for a family car. The 2.0-litre petrol engine provides 154bhp and 140 lb/ft of torque. The trip from 0 to 60 takes as little as 10.2 seconds, and the maximum speed for this engine is 125mph. Opt for the 2.4-litre petrol engine, and the horsepower goes up to 167bhp, with 162 lb/ft of torque. There is also a 2.0-litre diesel engine which delivers 138bhp with an amazing 229 lb/ft of torque. This engine can get the Avenger from 0 to 60 in 12 seconds.

The Avenger is bound to do well in the long run as well, keeping running costs low with a cool 45.6mpg in combined driving for the 2.0 diesel version. The emissions are reasonable, considering the mid-size range, at 170g/km of CO2 emissions.

The Dodge Avenger Range comes up with some interesting items to add to the usual features. For example, there is something called the Chill Zone, which is a refrigerated-air glove box just right for holding 4 soda pop cans and keeping them cool. In addition, there is a regular glove box for the items that are normally stored there.

There is some variation within the Dodge Avenger Range, of course. The SXT is fitted with bigger wheels, for example. There is a special setup where the entertainment system and the satellite navigation screen work together to provide access to 20GB of audio or video memory on a built-in hard drive. Even the entry-level SE version is fairly well-equipped, right down to the Chill Zone glove box and attractive safety features.

The Dodge Avenger Range gives buyers the ability to purchase a respectably outfitted mid-size saloon at a much lower than usual price. It is a car that will look good on the budget books and in the driveway as well. This car promises to be well worth the money now and in the future, likely retaining a good deal of its value over time. The Avenger is definitely not the average run-of-the-mill mid-size saloon. It has all the appeal it needs to attract customers who want to get in on a good deal, but still want tons of style. It is an attractive saloon with the power to please.
