Suzuki's latest compact supermini - the all-new Swift - is now available across UK dealerships and ready for the '60' plate. Price ranges from £9,995 for the entry-level SZ2 three-door model up to £13,245 for the range-topping SZ4 Five-door (A/T) model.

Available in three specification grades SZ4, SZ3 and SZ2, the new Swift boasts a comprehensive range of standard equipment including ESP, seven airbags, electric front windows, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, remote central door locking with deadlocks, steering wheel mounted audio controls, MP3/WMA compatible CD tuner with USB port and front passenger airbag deactivation facility exclusive for the SZ2.

SZ3 adds 16-inch alloy wheels and manual air conditioning with SZ4, as well as Bluetooth integrated audio unit with music streaming capability, automatic air conditioning, push button keyless start, electric front and rear windows, automatic headlamps, cruise control and rear privacy glass (five-door models) as standard.

Visually, the interior is finished in black with accents of silver. The car has even more space inside with an increase of +90mm in length, 10mm in height and 50mm in wheelbase.

Under the bonnet lies a Euro-5 compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine integrating Dual Variable intake and exhaust Valve Timing (VVT), which produces 94PS and 118Nm of torque.

Currently, the all-new Swift is the most eco-friendly petrol engine supermini in its class with CO2 emissions of just 116g/km on the combined cycle and has a fuel consumption of just 56.5mpg on the combined cycle for the manual transmission model. An optional four-speed automatic transmission will be available on SZ4 and SZ3 five-door (A/T) models.

In addition, a revised 1.3-litre diesel unit will be offered from next spring; this variant has combined fuel consumption of 67.3mpg and emits 109g/km of CO2.

The car is available in nine colours - two solid and seven metallic, - which are Superior White, Bright Red, Cool White pearl metallic, Cosmic Black Pearl metallic, Galactic Grey metallic, Kashmir Blue metallic, Silky Silver metallic, Smokey Green metallic and Sunlight Copper Pearl metallic.
