Audi S4 offers major improvements

Significant improvements can be seen in the new Audi S4 compared with the older model of the same name.

Second hand car drivers who have recently come into some money may find the Audi S4 to be the vehicle that offers them high performance and a stunning drive.

Writing for the Independent, John Simister states that the newer S4 is far superior to its older brother despite it undergoing a downsizing.

Much of the downsizing has come through the engine, with a 3.0-litre V6 with a supercharger replacing the 4.2-litre V8 used on the older model.

The new S4 loses a marginal amount of power through the change but offers more vigorous acceleration and is much more environmentally friendly in the amount of CO2 emissions given off.

Some 225g/km is produced, a massive 64g/km less than the older vehicle.

The other big treat the vehicle offers used car drivers, according to Mr Simister, is an optional Drive Select package.

This includes adaptive dampers, which can adjust acceleration response and steering weighting.

Buyers looking to purchase the Audi S4 can only do so with the manufacturer's quattro four-wheel drive system, allowing all the vehicle's wheels to receive torque from the engine simultaneously.
