Award may boost popularity of used Volvo XC60 models

Volvo's XC60 has been named best in class at the Caravan Club Towcar awards.
The number of people searching for used Volvo XC60 models may rise as a result of a recent award. At this year's Caravan Club Towcar honours, the model took the title in the £25,000 to £32,000 class.
Judges revealed they had been particularly impressed with the auto's poise on the road and its load-carrying capabilities.
Chairman of the Caravan Club Grenville Chamberlain commented: "Terms such as 'confident', 'sure-footed' and 'doesn't feel like it's towing' were used plentifully by the judges."
He added: "Volvo has produced another excellent towcar."
One of the reasons the XC60 may be well suited to pulling mobile homes is the fact it features Trailer Stability Assist.
This technology detects if an object being towed starts to snake across the road and rights the problem by applying the brakes to individual wheels.
In related news, the Volkswagen Golf took the overall title at the same Caravan Club event.
