The latest BMW 5 Series is the first BMW series to receive a 100% score in the Euro NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme) crash test for safety features.
According to BMW, its sixth generation in the model series, which is boosted by a highly effective car occupant protection system and comprehensive safety fittings as criterion for various different collision types, made an impressive performance during the test.
The latest BMW 5 Series climbed to a leading position within its segment with its high results on car occupant protection for children and adults, standard safety features and pedestrian protection.
Euro NCAP testers certified that the new BMW 5 Series, after analysing the test results, can provide a highly stable passenger cell which ensures protection for both the driver and passengers from injury, regardless of seating position and their size.
The maximum point was awarded on the seating systems, made for children aged three years old, for both side and head-on impact.
"BMW's new 5-Series Sedan is already winning accolades around the world for its excellent handling, powerful engines and stylish good looks since its launch," said Roger Fletcher, General Manager of QAF Auto Sdn Bhd.
"We have already received some overwhelming response from walk-in customers who have test-driven the car at the showroom."
"In fact, we have sold quite an impressive figure in just a week after the launch and orders and inquiries are coming in on a daily basis."
"The feedback has been quite positive with the new model, most especially after its successful launch recently, and now we have gained quite a number of BMW new admirers."
