A new concept model by BMW is said to be a more environmentally-friendly car.
Car maker BMW has produced an entirely electric concept model. The famous firm says that the ActiveE brings it one step closer to carbon-free cars.
It is part of BMW's project i, a programme dedicated to electromobility.
Among the features of the ActiveE is rear-wheel-drive, a new synchronous electric motor with a maximum power output of 170hp and a lithium-ion battery pack to store electrical energy.
It is also predicted to have a top speed of 90 mph and be able to go from zero to 37 mph in under 4.5 seconds, or to 62 mph in less than nine.
Prior to the ActiveE, BMW produced the MINI E as part of the project i initiative.
Last month, BMW was given the Industry Supplier title by the Energy Saving Trust's Fleet Hero Awards for its work in helping businesses make their cars greener.
GMW said it was committed to helping company fleets reduce their carbon emissions.
