BMW reveals limo-style 7 series

30 January 2009

BMW has brought to the UK the stretch-limo version of its 7 series.

UK motorists can now pick up the new stretch-limo version of the BMW 7 series, which the manufacturer has stated is one of the most important in its luxury car line-up.

The vehicle comes to the UK with a cost of more than £57,000, but despite its fairly hefty price tag BMW is still optimistic it will generate appeal in the current economic climate.

It is expected that the 730d and 730Ld will be the biggest sellers in the new range, with buyers of the latter having access to an additional 14 cm of legroom for its back seat passengers.

Also, the vehicle is able to accelerate from standstill to 60 miles per hour in 7.3 seconds, while it has a top speed of 153 miles per hour.

Other features of the updated model are an electrically powered sunblind for the rear window, a self-levelling rear suspension and the optional extra heated and air conditioned seats in the rear.

The BMW 7 series is the flagship car from the manufacturer.
