An excellent collection of motor cars from every decade, including the 1910 Hupmobile Model 20 Tourer (price estimate at 10,000 pounds to 12,000 pounds) and the 2005 Ferrari /Foreman Mk4 V12 Spyder Recreation (65,000 pounds to 85,000 pounds), are for sale at the Collectors Motor Cars and Automobilia in Oxford this coming 6th March.

The event will launch the Bonhams motoring season at Retromobile, Paris, where high prices and enthusiastic bidding are expected. With the remarkable range of cars that will be offered, the trend is likely to continue.

Last March saw the first sale in the new Oxford salesroom belonging to Bonhams, a 20,000-square-foot space considered to be one of Europes largest auction sites. The event was able to achieve 968,493 pounds of total sales with 98% of the cars sold.

The highlights for this year include models from Bentley, including a 1956 Bentley S1 Fastback Continental (150,000 pounds - 180,000 pounds) with body design by H J Mulliner, and a 1964 Bentley S3 Continental CoupÃ? (40,000 pounds - 50,000 pounds) again with body design by H J Mulliner.

Also included are the 1968 Mercedes-Benz 600 Limousine (50,000 pounds - 60,000 pounds), which was once called a masterpiece of engineering that redefines the word opulence, and a 1989 Ford RS200 Coupe (85,000 pounds - 95,000 pounds), one of only 160 cars made for its line and the last of its model type.

There is also a superb range for pre-war enthusiasts with the showcase of the 1930 Lea-Francis 12/40hp W-Type Sports (20,000 pounds-25,000 pounds), and the ex Len Thompson 1934 Lagonda Rapier 11/2-Litre Monoposto (45,000 pounds - 55,000 pounds). Finally, for summer rallies, there is the 1923 Alvis 12/40hp Tourer (15,000 pounds - 18,000 pounds), which has been in Oxfordshire for the last 20 years.
