Buckle up to avoid fatal consequences

A new campaign launched by government group THINK! aims to get more people to keep their seatbelts fastened.
Motorists are being encouraged to keep their seatbelts fastened in a new campaign launched by the road safety minister.Paul Clark commented that when a driver or passenger is not wearing a seatbelt and an accident happens, their body experiences three collisions - the crash of the car, the impact of their body against the inside of the car and their internal organs crashing against the inside of the body.
"This campaign reminds drivers that - no matter how short their journey or how slowly they are driving - they are risking their life if they set off without putting their seat belt on," he said.
Set out by road safety group THINK!, the £1.3 million graphic advertising campaign is set to appear on television, radio, billboards and in cinemas, while an edited version will be broadcast before 21:00.
Last month, Mr Clark commented on a new law which prevents banned drivers from evading punishment.
Under the new legislation, Brits who are disqualified for a serious motoring offence while driving in Ireland will not be able to evade punishment when they return home.
He said the law will help to make UK roads safer.
