Buyers market for used Astras

People seeking to buy a second-hand Astra should do so now, an industry commentator has said.

Used Car Expert magazine believes that the number of new-shape Astras to enter the market at discounted prices will rise quickly over the coming weeks.

Under 100 are currently available but this is set to increase.

Matt Tumbridge, editor of Used Car Expert, stated: "It is a buyer's market for nearly new, old-shape Astras."

According to the magazine's estimate, there are about 2,000 used Vauxhall Astras on sale in the second-hand market in Britain at any point in time.

Vauxhall has predicted that its new Astra and Astra Sports Tourer will help drive its sales this year.

It also believes that the new Meriva will be a boost for its business performance as well.

Vauxhall has been revealed to be Scotland's best-selling car manufacturer for the third consecutive year, with the Corsa proving to be a major force for this achievement.
