Cadillac has announced another scheme to conquer the extremely competitive automotive market in Europe. The re-launch will officially take place in March during the Geneva Motor Show.
After General Motors experienced issues with Kroymans Corp, a Dutch dealer that marketed Cadillacs in Europe before it went bankrupt in 2009, the US-based car manufacturer is once again gearing up to try its fortune on the continent.
The companys next attempt to break into the European market will be carried out by its newly founded division, Cadillac Europe. The organisation aims to manage the importation, distribution, as well as the marketing of a selected range of models that will fit the European lifestyle.
Europe is an important market for Cadillac, said the general manager of Cadillac, Bryan Nesbitt.
Re-establishing distribution of our premium offerings is good news for those who seek import exclusiveness, he added.
Cadillacs import exclusiveness has been associated by many Europeans with products such as the BS BLS.
At the Geneva Motor Show, Cadillac will offer Europeans a taste of their latest products, such as the CTS Coupe. This new model is slated to hit the North American market this summer, and will arrive in Europes showrooms by the autumn.
The rest of the companys line-up will include the CTS Sport Sedan, CTS Sport Wagon, the SRX crossover, the 556HP CTS-V, as well as the Escalade hybrid.
