01 June 2009
Jason Dawe has suggested the Chevrolet Lacetti could be a good choice for used car buyers.
Motorists keen to update their current vehicle without spending too much money may want to consider a used Chevrolet.Writing in the Times, Jason Dawe advised buyers can pick up a three-year-old Lacetti for £3,500.
He added the 1.6-litre edition of the car manages to create the ideal blend of economy and performance.
Mr Dawe warned the engine can sound harsh, but added road and wind noise are comparable to other vehicles in the same sector.
Motorists were advised the hatchback is smaller than the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra.
However, the journalist pointed out the model's generous wheelbase means it offers more room than competitors like the Volkswagen Polo and Ford Fiesta.
Mr Dawe also claimed the vehicle has few reliability problems, which could be good news for people who prefer to buy second-hand cars.
Drivers interested in a used Chevrolet may find they can price up some models by searching online.
