Chevrolets Aveo RS concept car will be launched in the European market through the motor show scheduled next month in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Aveo RS was first unveiled at the motor show in Detroit, Michigan last month. The sporty style of the concept car offers an idea on how the next-generation Aveo will appear.
The Aveo RS concept car is equipped with the signatures of Chevrolet, which include round taillamps and two-part grille. The designers of the car made the appearance of its face more aggressive with the installation of an additional lower mouth along with aluminium trim, and integrated foglamps in the cars brake-cooling inlet.
Initially, the Aveo RS would appear like a three-door hatch due to the rear door handles that are concealed in the C-pillar. The cars headlamps are exposed like those on motorcycles.
Other sporty features of the car consist of the rear spoiler, and the centrally installed exhaust, which has chrome tips.
The Aveo RS is equipped with five-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, and big blue brake callipers that can be seen through the openings.
The concept car is equipped with a 136bhp 1.4-litre Ecotec turbocharged engine coupled with a manual six-speed gearbox.
After unveiling the Cruze last year and the Spark in early 2010, Chevrolet will introduce another five new car models in Europe in 2011.
One of the new models to be launched in Europe will include a family car/crossover, which is based on the Orlando concept vehicle of the company.
The details of the other models, which probably would include the electric Volt, would be revealed later this year.
